Bulgaria will export nearly 70% of its wheat crop, Bulgaria’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva told the Bulgarian National Television on Sunday. Minister Taneva voiced hopes that the Bulgarian agriculture sector will continue to develop steadfastly. The yield of Bulgarian agricultural produce has increased significantly due to the utilization of new technologies in agriculture and to the rapid development of the agricultural science, Minister Taneva specified. For instance, this year’s wheat yield was at record high levels- a total of 5.6 million tons of wheat were harvested and the average yield per hectare amounted to 4,940 kilograms, Desislava Taneva said.
