During the first year since the start of the "Juncker" Investment Plan, Bulgaria has not applied for direct financing for any large infrastructure projects. This is what Deputy Managing Director of the European Fund for Strategic Investments, Iliyana Tsanova, said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio. According to her, initiatives of the private sector were of big importance, as the "Juncker" plan did not operate on a quota basis. Tsanova added that over 500 small and medium enterprises in Bulgaria have already benefited from preferential loans thanks to the investment plan.
