Six members of a criminal group were detained in Bulgaria’s capital Sofia over illegal possession and disposal of weapons in a joint operation of the Chief Directorate Combating Organized Crime and the Special Unit of the Prosecutor’s Office. The authorities searched several addresses during the special operation. They seized 50 machine pistols, a Walther pistol, gun scopes and EUR 2,700 on the first address. 8 pistols, 250 bullets and 19,000 Leva (9500 EUR) were confiscated on another address. A Scorpion pistol, ancient coins and many ATM skimmers were found on other addresses.
