Three people were killed and six severely injured in a series of road accidents this morning resulting in the closure of one of the lanes on Trakia motorway near Vakarel village in the direction of Sofia.
The collisions, caused by diminished visibility due to dense fog, took place within the space of two hours. In one of the accidents, a heavy-duty TIR truck and a car fell from the viaduct from a height of around 40 meters. Both the lorry driver and the car driver were killed instantly, the car passenger been hospitalized in critical condition.
