The prosecutor’s office is filing a second charge against outgoing Defence Minister Nikolay Nenchev.
Like the first charge – for the repair of the MiG-29 fighters – the second charge is again for malfeasance, this time in connection with a contract for army uniforms. Nenchev called it “an errand the prosecutor general is running”. After his second indictment, Minister Nenchev stated that “something in the prosecution model must change” and promised to return to parliament and work towards reforming the prosecutor’s office.
