Bulgaria’s outgoing Premier Boyko Borissov met with the President of the Greek party New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who is paying a working visit to Bulgaria. Borissov and Mitsotakis discussed measures aimed at keeping the migratory pressure over the EU external borders under control. Bulgaria is making great efforts to guarantee that the Balkan region will remain a place of security and cooperation. We are protecting our state borders well, regardless of the price we pay, because our top priority is to make people feel secure, outgoing Premier Borissov told Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Borissov and Mitsotakis voiced the opinion that regardless of the political conjuncture in Bulgaria and Greece, the two countries have to maintain good political cooperation and develop their relations in high-priority fields such as economy, agriculture, culture, internal affairs, foreign affairs, transport and power engineering.
