Two massive explosions occurred on Saturday evening downtown Istanbul. 20 riot police officers were wounded in the blast, Turkey’s Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu has announced, quoted by the Hurriyet Daily News online edition. The two explosions were followed by gunfire. They occurred at the heart of Istanbul, outside Vodafone Arena football stadium, the home of Besiktas football club. One of the blasts targeted a riot police bus. The Radio and Television Supreme Council of Turkey has banned the coverage of the story shortly afterwards, Hurriyet Daily News further announced. Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry hasn’t commented the blast yet. There is no information about injured Bulgarian citizens. A death toll hasn't been oficially confirmed, but according to Reuters, which cited security officials' data, at least 13 were killed in the blast.
