Bulgaria shows compassion to Hitrino victims

Hundreds of Bulgarian citizens bid farewell to the victims of Hitrino blast in front of Tombul Mosque in Shumen. A dzenaza-namaz requiem was served in the presence of Bulgaria’s Grand Mufti Mustafa Haji. The 5th edition of the initiative Youth Vision for Development of Bulgaria started with a minute of silence in Sofia. The event is held under the auspices of President Rossen Plevneliev. President Plevneliev asked the Bulgarian people to show compassion to the recent tragedy. At a meeting with the British community in Veliko Tarnovo district the UK Ambassador to Bulgaria Emma Hopkins called on her fellow-citizens to help the families from Hitrino. Bulgaria’s Ombudsman Maya Manolova gave food vouchers to the tune of EUR 5,700 to Hitrino Mayor.
