Navigation on the Danube in the Bulgarian section of the river is difficult because of its low level. Two ships became stuck this morning near the town of Belene, BTA reported. A Romanian ship helped the stuck vessels sailing under German flag to move away from shallow waters. River Monitoring – Ruse has called on ship captains and owners to keep in mind the situation. The level of the Danube at Ruse today was 99 cm over mark zero. The forecast for the next two days is decline by another 24 centimeters.
