Bulgaria’s President-elect Rumen Radev has not assumed office yet and can still voice various stands under local topics and issues from the international agenda. However, it must be clear that from January 22 on every word and position voiced by Radev will automatically become Bulgaria’s official stand, Bulgaria’s head of state Rossen Plevneliev told the Bulgarian National Radio on Sunday on occasion of Rumen Radev’s stand that Bulgaria is against the European sanctions imposed on Russia. President Plevneliev reminded that the Hague Tribunal recognized the annexation of Crimea as an act of armed aggression and illegal occupation. If a country’s head of state defends the rule of law he can not oppose the decision of a European court, President Plevneliev further told the BNR.
