Bulgaria’s Prosecutor’s Office: EC monitoring report is realistic and well-founded

Bulgaria’s Prosecutor’s Office announced that it accepted the conclusions of the latest EC monitoring report under the Mechanism for Verification and Cooperation. The report is realistic, well-founded and contains clearly formulated recommendations, the Prosecutor's Office further informs. The amendments to the country’s Constitution in 2015 were fairly assessed as a significant step forward. The EC estimated highly the efforts of the prosecutors and the examining magistrates in the recent years, which resulted in more new investigation cases and lawsuits over corruption. The report also assesses highly the permanent results of the specialized Prosecutor’s Office, the Prosecutor’s Office further announced.
