The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) has signed an agreement with five other political formations for forming a pre-electoral coalition called “BSP for Bulgaria”.

The two Roma formations - Euroroma and European Security and Integration - until recently BSP partners within the BSP - Left Bulgaria coalition will not be part of the new coalition. The socialists explained this change with the need to form a coalition for every kind of election, rather than an alliance with formations which have so far nominated rivals to the BSP mayors locally. Before the elections the new coalition will sign bilateral cooperation agreements with ten citizen associations.
