Election campaign in Bulgaria starts

In the period February 24 until March 24 Bulgaria is in election campaign for early parliamentary elections that are to take place on March 26th.

A total of 13 parties, nine coalitions and 21 initiative committees that nominated independent candidates compete for 240 seats in parliament. The deadline for submitting applications for voting outside the country ends on February 28, and the deadline for defining the number of polling stations abroad is March 4.

One of the most important rules for the campaign concerning all participants is that the campaign is conducted entirely in the Bulgarian language.
