Members of Bulgarian communities in Moldova, Macedonia, Albania, Kosovo and Serbia mainly prefer to study medicine and computer sciences in Bulgaria. It became clear during the information campaign for university admission covering those six countries. In 2016 Bulgaria’s cabinet expanded the annual quota for university students from the Bulgarian diaspora allowing up to 1,000 people to become students, PhD students and post-graduate students in Bulgaria’s universities. The same quota will be valid for the forthcoming academic year.
