The Bulgarian company iGreet which gained huge popularity on the market with its innovative greeting cards has recently surprised all chocolate fans with a chocolate bar with augmented reality. This is the perfect present for any festive event and holiday. All you need to do to receive your greetings is to scan your chocolate with a free of charge mobile application. Vicho Dimitrov is the founder of the start-up company iGreet and Kamelia Ilarionova is the co-founder of the innovative chocolate product. Here is what they told Radio Bulgaria about their interesting product:

“Our chocolate impresses consumers with its high quality and perfect taste. Moreover, a mobile application sends special greetings to our clients. The access to that application is quite easy. We tried to develop interesting and impressive images. We launched that application for Saint Valentine's Day and the International Women's Day (March 8). Our purpose is to develop that application for all traditional Bulgarian feasts and holidays and even use it in various campaigns”, Kamelia Ilarionova says.

“Our team is very small and consists of 5 people only. However, each one of us has various tasks and responsibilities. iGreet develops the design and the 3D animation for our chocolate products and Kamelia is in charge of the packing and the manufacture of the product. The clients receive their chocolate in an elegant white box wrapped in red ribbon. We also attach a static greeting card to the chocolate box. That greeting card comes to life due to the mobile application which allows clients to scan the front image of their cards. Moreover, the chocolate has an incredible aroma, too ”, Vicho Dimitrov told Radio Bulgaria.

Clients have been showing huge interest in the innovative product of that young Bulgarian company. Its products are used on various festive occasions and corporate events. The handmade chocolate is produced in Bulgaria under a special Belgian recipe.

“We started to sell our chocolate literally 3 days before Saint Valentine's Day (February 14). We made over 150 sales in less than three days, which is a serious success. The good news is that people continue to show strong interest towards our products. 15 people even came to our office to buy that product and thanked us for making their holiday more meaningful. People definitely love chocolate and buy it for various occasions. However, clients experience more positive emotions when that product is combined with a digital application”, Vicho and Kamelia went on to say and added that they had more innovative ideas in mind.

“We are yet to develop our greeting cards. So far we have fulfilled around 20% of our idea about that product. We are planning to sell other types of greeting cards such as 3D cards and make the messages of those cards personal. The companies can use the chocolate as a marketing instrument and put their own content into the image. The augmented reality products have developed a lot over the past two years in Bulgaria and other countries. The number of companies which have realized the benefits of augmented reality and have dared using the new technology has been constantly increasing”.

Our clients should expect more surprises with augmented reality”, Vicho and Kamelia further said. They have already fulfilled over 20 corporate campaigns related to the use of augmented reality. Clients will soon be able to taste waffles. The package of those waffles will also bring customers into the world of augmented reality.
