37% increase in passenger flow at Sofia Airport in June

The number of passengers flying to and from Sofia Airport has increased significantly, the airport’s administration announced. In June 2017, a 37% increase in the passenger flow was registered at Sofia Airport. 85% increase was registered on domestic flights. The number of passengers on international flights rose by 36% last month. The number of passengers flying on charter flights increased by nearly 25%, which was due to the large number of tourists flying to Turkish, Greek and Croatian resorts. The number of freight shipments and parcels processed at Sofia Airport also increased.
