Albania relies on Bulgaria’s support for its EU integration, Ilir Meta says

At a Tirana-held meeting of Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva with Albanian President Ilir Meta, the latter stated that his country relied on Bulgaria’s efforts for the EU expansion towards the Western Balkans. Zaharieva pointed out that the bilateral relations are excellent, but the enhancing of the economic ties should be aimed at. She also raised the subject on the recognition of the Bulgarian minority in Albania, underlining that it could be a bridge between both states.

Albania is the second state in the Bulgarian foreign minister’s Balkan tour. She is to visit Macedonia, Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina over the next weeks.
