Bulgaria’s Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Ivaylo Moscovski and Macedonia’s Minister of Transport and Communications Goran Sugareski signed in Skopje a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing railway links between Sofia and Skopje. The document will be used in the future collaboration related to the construction of a railway link between the capitals of Bulgaria and Macedonia. Bulgaria promised to build by 2027 a railway line connecting Sofia and the Bulgaria-Macedonia border. Macedonia voiced commitment to build a railway line connecting Skopje and the Macedonia-Bulgaria border by 2025.
