UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres thanks President Radev for Bulgaria's support for the European prospects for the Western Balkans

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres thanked President Rumen Radev for Bulgaria's active support for the European prospects for the Western Balkans, the press centre of the Bulgarian presidency announced after the meeting between the two.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres welcomed the signing of the bilateral agreement of good neighbourhood between Bulgaria and Macedonia which sends a powerful positive message to the entire region. Supporting the European prospects for the countries of the Western Balkans will be at the focus of attention of the upcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.

During his meeting with the President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, President Rumen Radev stated that Bulgaria will continue to support the efforts of the international community for establishing Kosovo as a stable and democratic country in Southeastern Europe. The Bulgarian head of state reiterated that Bulgaria will continue to work towards the European prospects for all of its neighbours from the region of the Western Balkans, the presidency press release reads.
