Only 3 percent of Bulgarians are physically active, said Yoanna Dochevska, chair of the Bulgarian Sports Development Association and added:
“There are many reasons - many say they cannot afford it or that there are no sporting facilities. We expect an update of data by the end of the year that will show whether there has been any development in the past three years."
