Bulgaria and Romania have signed five new agreements at the Euxinograd Residence near the Black Sea port of Varna. They envisage bilateral cooperation in energy, rescuing stranded ships, cooperation in internal security, economy and social policy.

At a press conference with his Romanian counterpart Mihai Tudose, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov outlined priority projects that the two countries plan to work on in the coming years – two new bridges over the Danube River – a second one at Ruse-Giurgiu and one off Nikopol-Turnu Magurele, as well as on a highway connecting Constanta, Varna and Burgas. In the context of the second project a study has been assigned for the construction of a railroad and a high seed road.

Bulgaria and Romania are also working to create joint ventures to cooperate in exporting agricultural produce - vegetables, fresh and chilled meat, to the Middle East and the Arab world.
