Sofia is among the cities with the greatest biodiversity across Europe. There are 280 bird species registered in the Bulgarian capital, ornithologists have reported on the occasion of Bird Day, October 3. They have recalled the first bird count held in the spring of this year and organized by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds.
