Football hooligans fight downtown Sofia, 42 arrested

Fans of the Levski and CSKA football teams got into a fight on the Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi Blvd. downtown Sofia. One person is slightly injured and a total of 42 have been arrested. The two groups ran into each other on their way to the Vassil Levski Stadium around 2:40 pm and a clash followed, the interior ministry reports. The police officers deployed nearby interfered immediately and arrested several fans. The enhanced police presence along the streets downtown will remain after the end of the match as well, for security reasons.
