The first monument of Vasil Levski in Canada will be unveiled at an official ceremony in Brampton, GreaterToronto. The monument of the Bulgarian Apostle of Freedom will be situated in the premises of St. Demetrius Orthodox church. The project has been fulfilled by the honorary Consul of Bulgaria in the city of Mississauga Ignat Kaneff and the board of St Demetius Church with the support of the Consul General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Toronto Petar Kraytchev. The bronze monument was made in Bulgaria by engineers Todor Ganarev and Radiana Dervenska. The event is part of the initiatives dedicated to the 180th birthday of Vasil Levski.
