The Bulgarian cabinet has approved a National Counter-Terrorism Plan. The document was drafted to address the sustained rise in terror threat levels globally and pursuant to the provisions of the counter-terrorism laws.
Its main objectives are to provide unfailing and adequate protection to citizens, the territory and the national interests of Bulgaria from terror threats, to coordinate the efforts of the competent public authority as well as prevention. The plan sets down the respective organization for promulgating, informing, reacting and managing the assets for preventing and neutralizing terrorist threats.
