Photo: Republika newspaper

The environmental inspection in Veliko Turnovo is beginning additional air quality measurement in two neighbourhoods after a series of complaints by the public.

A mobile automated atmospheric air quality control station will take measurements of the air in the neighbourhoods of Cholakovtsi and Buzludzha over the space of two weeks. The decision to take additional air quality measurements was reached after dozens of complains were made by people living in the two neighbourhoods of smells and air pollution coming from the southern industrial zone and more specifically a big wood processing plant.

The results will be sent to Rousse for analysis and will be made public in two weeks’ time.
