Bulgarian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ekaterina Zaharieva, described the European Commission's report on Bulgaria’s progress under the Cooperation and Verification Mechanism as objective. She told this to reporters in Kuwait, where she was on a working visit.

"There is a clear view that if we continue with the same pace of reforms, it is absolutely possible and realistic that the mechanism could be dropped by the end of the mandate of this Commission," Minister Zaharieva added.
