PM Boyko Borissov had a lecture at the University of National and World Economy, subjected Bulgaria, the Balkans, Europe and the World. Answering a question on whether the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU could add to this country’s accession into the waiting room of the Eurozone, Borissov declared his optimism for this accession process as an initial step. The pm pointed out that the Presidency wouldn’t give us advantage, but in terms of finances the economic parameters of Bulgaria made it no risk for the Eurozone. As far as Schengen was concerned, Borissov commented that there were states which had no place there. Free movement is good, but uncontrolled movement is not what Europe needs, Borissov went on to say.
