Construction of Struma motorway section between Sandanski and Kresna is two months ahead of deadlines

The construction of Struma motorway section between the towns of Sandanski and Kresna is two months ahead deadlines, engineer Temenuzhka Filipova from the Road Infrastructure Agency told BNR. We are doing daily control on the quality of the construction works, engineer Filipova pointed out. No other motorway in Bulgaria was subject to such monitoring before. Four laboratories are testing the quality of the materials used in the construction of Struma motorway, Temenuzhka Filipova went on to say. This section of Struma motorway is 24 kilomneters long and 29 meters wide. The cost of this section was estimated at EUR 118 million and construction works have to end in 2019.
