In an interview for the Bulgarian National Radio the EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel assessed positively the memorandums on cheaper roaming signed between Bulgaria, Macedonia and Serbia. Coherence is the word behind these initiatives, Commissioner Gabriel said. The stronger coherence will boost the development of our economies and provide more opportunities to the young people. The forthcoming Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the European Union is of great importance, because many emblematic legislative initiatives of the European Commission will be finalized during that period. We must send a clear message that we are ready to respond to the rapid development of the new technologies. During the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU we will have six months of intense negotiations, in order to keep our promise to lay the groundwork of the Digital Single Market by the end of 2018, Commissioner Mariya Gabriel went on to say.
