Japanese companies show interest in investments in Bulgaria

Three enterprises in Japan intend to start operations in Bulgaria. This has become clear at the meeting of the CEO of the Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency Marieta Zaharieva with Japanese Ambassador to Bulgaria Masato Watanabe.

One of the companies already produces frozen sushi in Plovdiv with the production aimed for the Bulgarian and the European markets. Another big Japanese company already has three plants in this country and is expected to employ 8000.

Marieta Zaharieva has said that the enforcement of the Japan-EU free trade agreement, Bulgaria will be eyed by more Japanese investors.
