Eurozone entry can turn Bulgaria into bridge between Europe and Middle East and model for Balkan countries

Bulgaria's entry into the Eurozone could turn it into a bridge between Europe and the Middle East and a model for the Western Balkan countries. This was what Dimitar Brankov, Deputy Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) and a member of the Economic and Social Council said at a press conference dedicated to the accession of Bulgaria to ERM II and the Eurozone. According to him, this should be the highest priority in national economic policy, as long-term effects will be related to changes in income, competitiveness, productivity, and a favorable turn in demographic trends.
