Institutionalization of the European Prosecutor's Office is a central topic of the informal meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council, which is held in Sofia.

In the sphere of justice, the ambition of the Bulgarian EU Presidency is to achieve substantial progress in establishing clear rules of cooperation for the future European Prosecutor's Office with individual prosecution offices and those of third countries, as well as with partner agencies and services such as OLAF and Europol.

Ministers of Interior of EU Member States will also discuss the development of e-justice, which is expected to guarantee a higher level of security for citizens and to improve their access to justice.
