One of Bulgaria's most important goals is promoting the direct dialogue between Turkey and the European Union. This was what Bulgarian Ambassador to Ankara Nadezhda Neynsky said at the meeting of EU ambassadors with the Minister of European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik.

Bulgaria believes relations between the EU and Turkey should be normalized, Ambassador Neynsky added. The meeting discussed Turkish-European relations with a focus on the upcoming EU-Turkey summit in Bulgaria’s Varna on March 26th, which will be hosted by Prime Minister Boyko Borissov.

It is expected that President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, and European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker, would have talks with Turkey's President Recep Erdoğan during the forum.
