Greece supports Bulgaria and Romania’s Schengen bid

At a trilateral meeting in Bucharest, the foreign ministers of Bulgaria, Romania and Greece - Ekaterina Zaharieva, Teodor Melescanu and Nikos Kocias, supported by a joint declaration the construction of the Balkan Gas Hub and the European integration of the Western Balkans.

In an interview to the Bulgarian National Radio, Minister Zaharieva vowed that Bulgaria's long-term foreign policy priority for stability, prosperity and security of the Western Balkan countries will continue to be the focus of the EU during the Romanian Presidency as well. Similar signals have also arrived from Croatia, which will be part of the next EU trio, Zaharieva added.

At the trilateral meeting in Bucharest, Greece has confirmed its support for Bulgaria's and Romania's Schengen membership.
