Bulgarians spend most on food, housing, transport

Marking World Consumer Rights Day March 15 the National Statistical Institute has released figures about consumer spending in Bulgaria.

In data from 2016, average Bulgarians spend most of their incomes on food /37.3%/, housing and utility bills /17.3%/ and transport /8.3%/. Health services claim 6.7% of incomes and pastimes, culture and holidays – 5.8%.

World Consumer Rights Day has been marked in Bulgaria since 1991.
