Bulgaria is ready for cooperation with Israel in economy, investments and science, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev has said while meeting in Jerusalem with Israeli counterpart Reuven Rivlin.

The Israeli president has said that Jews will never forget the courageous act of Bulgaria during World War II and the rescue of 50,000 Bulgarian Jews from Nazi death camps. We should be united in the face of hatred, Rivlin has said.

Rumen Radev has pointed out that during its Presidency of the Council of the European Union Bulgaria will continue its efforts for the resumption of negotiation in the framework of the Middle East peace process for attaining lasting peace in that region.

Later in the day President Radev met with representatives of the organizations of Bulgarian Jews in Israel.
