A long-term and sustainable solution to the Middle East conflict can be reached only if its is based on the principle of the two independent countries living in peace and understanding, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said after he met with the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah. President Radev pointed out that Bulgaria has a clear stand: We are an important partner of Palestine in the process of forming the positions within the United Nations and the EU. Bulgaria is following the clearly-expressed position of the European Union that a long-term and sustainable solution to the Middle East conflict can be reached only if it is based on the principle of the two countries living in peace, security and understanding, President Radev said. Mahmoud Abbas said in return that he assessed highly the huge support provided by the EU to the Palestinian people in defending their institutions.
