On March 29 the Bulgarian rock band B.T.R (Slavcho Penev-vocals, Slavcho Nikolov-guitar, Ivan Kalfov-bass guitar and Ilian Dikov-percussions) is to present their new album Invisible Walls at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia.
This is the band’s tenth album. B.T.R has had an active concert activity in Bulgaria and abroad in the past 15 years.
“It so happened that in the beginning of our work under this album our music had even more solid sound, except for the first single- My Power, Atanas Penev told Radio Bulgaria. Some fragments have a heavy metal and hard rock sound. We also included two ballads in the new album. The Invisible Walls album consists of ten pieces. The album is named after the second single. Now we are still working over the third single, but we will leave it as a surprise to our music fans. The lyrics and the music are written as always by the band’s guitarist Slavcho Nikolov, except for the Recap song which was written by Alexander Petrov. All four members of the band participate in the arrangement of the songs.”
The album’s first single My Power has already conquered the music charts and its video, whose plot is based on an action drama directed by Asen Blatechki, is among the most-impressive videos.
“In the beginning we did know who would make this video. Ilian came up with the idea to contact Asen Blatechki. This time we invited him to take part at the video as a director, unlike in our previous album where he acted in the song “Why”. He accepted our proposal immediately and liked the plot of the video. He found enough time to prepare for the shooting of the video. We worked day and night until we made the video the way we wanted.”
After the concert on March 29 the Bulgarian rock band will announce the dates and the places where they will present the Invisible Walls album. Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna are among the cities where fans of rock music will be able to attend live the performance of B.T.R band.
“We invited several guest musicians for our concert at the National Palace of Culture”, Ilian Dikov adds. “These are Yasen Velchev, pianist at TE band who contributed a lot to the sound of our album. Antoni Georgiev (keyboards) from Ahat band and guitarist Dobromir Polikov who has been with us for years on the concert stage will also join us on March 29. A new song and an acoustic part with some of our old music hits, yet with a different arrangement, will be also included in the forthcoming concert.”
