Infantry fighting vehicles to be manufactured in Bulgaria

The new infantry fighting vehicles, to be purchased for the sum of 600 million euro, earmarked especially for the purpose, will be manufactured in Bulgaria, said Prime Minister Boyko Borissov during a visit to TEREM-Khan Krum arms factory.

The infantry fighting vehicles project was developed over a period of 12 years and envisages a total of 150 units of combat and special purpose technology for three battalion battle groups, systems and additional equipment, as well as personnel training, the government press service specifies.
