Varna hosts conference on digital future of Europe

An international conference on the digital future of Europe is held in the Black Sea port city of Varna. In the focus of the discussion, with the participation of Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel, is digitization as an opportunity for growth in the regions.

It has been reported that over 17,000 European municipalities have already applied for project funding aimed at providing free wireless public Internet. Bulgaria is one of the first countries in this chart with more than 200 registered municipalities.
