Modest success for Bulgaria at 2018 ICF canoe sprint Junior and U23 world championships in Plovdiv

Denis Dimitrov (Bulgaria) qualified 6th in the 500 metres juniors single kayak at the 2018 ICF canoe sprint Junior and U23 world championships in Plovdiv.

The finals were won by Benedek Tibor Kos (Hungary), followed by Rasmus Brandstrup Knudsen (Denmark) and Bojan Zdelar (Serbia). Denis Dimitrov and Radoslav Stefanov came 4th in the 1,000 m. double kayak, and Angel Kodinov – 6th in the 200 m. under 23 men’s single canoe.

Ivan Penchev, Teodor Asenov, Dimitar Dimitrov and Stilyan Emanuilov in the four-person crews performed well, winning Final B.
