Average gross monthly salary in Bulgaria reaches 572 euro

The average gross monthly salary in Bulgaria has reached 572 euro, as the rise compared to the same period of the previous year is 8.2%, according to data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI). The increase compared to the first quarter of this year is 4.5%.

Sectors with the highest average wages are the technology sector - 1669 euro, finance and insurance - 983 euro, energy - 931 euro. In comparison to the same period of the previous year, the average monthly salary in the second quarter of 2018 in the public sector rose by 9.6%, while in the private sector the rise reached 7.6 percent.
