Bozhidar Antonov from Kardzhali has set a new record on the 600-kilometre-long Balkan route from Kom Peak to Cape Emine. Members of his crew reported that he already had a lead of about five hours in the middle of the route. So the ultramarathon runner improved the existing record of the best Bulgarian athlete in mountain running Kiril Nikolov aka Disl from 2015, which he covered in 4 days, 13 hours and 5 minutes.

Also the record for covering the same Kom-Emine route by cycling was improved. Ilko Iliev made it in 2 days, 22 hours and 04 minutes, improving Borislav Yordanov's previous achievement by 45 minutes.
