The Bulgarian government has made a recommendation to the National Assembly that it should dismiss the Deputy Chairperson of the Financial Supervision Commission /FSC/ Ralitsa Agayn for the current situation with the defunct insurance company "Olympic".

This became clear after a meeting between Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and the FSC leadership. We find serious shortcomings in the work of the Head of the Insurance Supervision Department in the Commission, Minister of Finance Vladislav Goranov said. He announced that the Cypriot ambassador to Sofia was called to the MFA in order to bring clarity over the procedure for ceasing of “Olympic” operations.

This is important in order for Bulgarians to receive compensations from the Cyprus Fund, the Minister added.
