Specialists in Bulgarian studies from three continents exchange experience and gain knowledge at a seminar in Veliko Tarnovo

Specialists in Bulgarian studies from 32 countries across three continents are participating in a three-week seminar on Bulgarian language and culture, which began today at the University of Veliko Tarnovo. According to the BNR’s correspondent in Veliko Tarnovo, 88 people participate at the 47th edition of the seminar which is aimed at promoting Bulgarian studies abroad. Among them are students, doctoral candidates, university professors, teachers, translators, an accordionist, a police officer, a composer and civil servants.

They are united by their love for our language and culture, history, music and people. The participants are also impressed by our cuisine and have their own opinions on the politics and economic development of our country.

In addition to language disciplines, the seminar includes courses on Bulgarian history and culture, lectures on folklore, contemporary Bulgarian cinema and Bulgarian mythology.
