The European Commission has published preliminary results from the public consultations it launched on whether to abolish the switching between summer and winter time in Europe.

Preliminary data show that 84 percent of the respondents are against switching between summer and winter time twice a year. The online survey received 4.6 million responses from all 28 EU member countries – the greatest number of answers ever given to any of the EC’s public consultations.

The proposal is to be voted by the European Parliament, and then endorsed by each member country individually. 0.18 percent of Bulgarians took part in the online survey.
