A new travel site of UNESCO popularizes destinations globally and the ancient Black Sea town of Nesebar is one of them. The UNESCO World Heritage Sites webpage, developed with the contribution of National Geographic includes 34 destinations, selected among world heritage sites from 19 member-states of the organization. The platform is accessible as of 15 September within the frameworks of the European Heritage Days initiative. The latter encourages people to travel in a ‘different’ and ‘more sophisticated’ manner, beyond major tourist destinations, having experiences exceeding the usual stuff that the region can offer. Furthermore, the platform urges tourists to travel along 4 routes of cultural heritage, developed within the project. The website is accessible in English, Chinese and French.
