Athletes caught doping will be punished with a fine of up to 1,000 euros, and a second violation will be fined 1500 euros. This is envisaged in the Act on Physical Education and Sport, adopted at second reading by the National Assembly. Licensed sports federations will also be sanctioned for violating anti-doping rules by an athlete or official of the national team during a camp or a competition organized by international sports organizations.
