European Commission invests nearly EUR 300 million in modern and fast railway connection between Plovdiv and Burgas

The European Commission will invest nearly EUR 300 million from the Cohesion Fund in modern and faster railway connection between the cities Plovdiv and Burgas. Thus, the high-speed railway line along the TEN-T Orient/East-Med Corridor connecting Central and Southeast Europe will be completed. The trip between Plovdiv and Burgas will be 40 minutes shorter and the trains which run along the new rail line will travel at a speed between 130 and 160 kilometers per hour.
